Gospel Nomads Orientation Week
This week long event provides practical apologetics and evangelism training that can be applied on your Nomad travels. It is also a great opportunity to connect with other Nomads, encourage each other in Gospel work, and share opportunities to serve whilst on the road.

Ticket pricing for attendance at the Orientation week includes a full year of membership in the Gospel Nomads Network, which includes:
- Training and orientation week at the start of the year
- An invitation to attend the ANZAC Day Service in Beltana SA
- Open invitation to camp at New Dunesk whenever you are passing by
- Ongoing connection with other Network members and our Nomad Coach throughout the year
- Assistance from our Nomad coach to help you hone your skills in evangelism, discipling and pastoral care
- Reconnect events throughout the year in WA and at New Dunesk.

Event speakers

Peter
Peter Currie served at Woonona Presbyterian Church for over 37 years before recently retiring. Pete and his wife Sue recently celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary. They live in a predominately Housing Commission community in the northern Illawarra close to kids and grandkids. Their happy places are bushwalking, exploring the Victorian High Country in their van and sharing the love of King Jesus with neighbours.
Peter and Sue will both attend the 2025 Gospel Nomads Orientation week.

David
David Hawken is the Convenor of PIM. He joined the Committee in 2024 and assisted in the running of the 2024 Gospel Nomads program and Tracks Outback Concert. David, his wife Beth and daughter Jessica live in nearby Griffith, where David has been the minister of Griffith Presbyterian Church since 2023.
David will be running sessions at the Orientation Week on using technology and providing pastoral care.
Program of events
Attendees are invited to arrive at any time on Tuesday 25th March, with a welcome and prayer time after dinner to kick off the week.
Morning devotions will be held throughout the week from Wednesday to Saturday, 8:30-9:00am.
Three sessions for talks and workshops are scheduled each day. Throughout the week there will also be plenty of free time to explore the property, relax around the campfire, and share meals with one another.
On Sunday 30th March, worship will be held at Griffith Presbyterian Church, with morning tea and lunch to follow, kindly provided by members of the congregation.
A full program will be provided closer to the event date.
Camping
Attendees are invited to camp onsite at New Dunesk for the duration of the week. Ample campsites are available for caravans, camper trailers and tents.
Please note that limited powered sites are available. Please mark your interest in a powered site when registering. Allocation will be on a first in, first served basis.
Onsite facilities include:
- Amenities blocks with toilets and showers
- Fully equipped camp kitchen with stove, oven, washing up facilities, microwave and fridge
- The Piggery conference centre (powered and air conditioned)
Alternative accommodation is available in nearby Ardlethan at attendee’s own cost. Please contact us if you would like further information about alternate accommodation.
Meals
This event will be fully catered, with the exception of Tuesday 25th March. Participants are welcome to utilise the fully equipped camp kitchen to self cater any required meals on this day.
Please note that lunch on Sunday the 30th March will be provided at Griffith Presbyterian church following the morning service.
Pet policy
Please note that we prefer no dogs onsite; however in the event that special permission is granted, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please contact us if you would like to discuss bringing your dog to this event.
